HOW TO GET UAE VISA AS SAUDI RESIDENTS

HOW TO GET UAE VISA AS SAUDI RESIDENTS

UAE Visa-As of October 2015, the UAE ministry of interiors has announced that it no longer will be issuing on arrival visas to the GCC residents. In a recent note, it was stated that on arrival visas to UAE have been extended for a "period" of time, however, to make your trip smooth I advise getting the visa before hand.  Earlier on the GCC residents could easily get permission to enter Dubai by paying less than $200. Now for the GCC residents or the Saudi Iqama holders, they have initiated the facility of applying for E-Visa.

Requirements for UAE Visa

  • Iqama valid for a minimum of three months, Check your Muqeem or Iqama Expiry: Check Iqama Expiry in 5 Simple Steps MOI
  • Copy of Passport with a validity of at least six months
  • Passport size photo graphs
  • A valid profession that makes you eligible to apply for E-Visa
  • A valid credit card
It is always a plus to travel with your original iqama or muqeem card.

What is the validity of E-Visa of UAE?

  • The E-Visa issued to GCC accompanied residents is applicable for 30 days, however it can be extended for a period of another 2 months.
  • The E-Visa issued to GCC residents is applicable for 30 days from the date of arrival and it can be extended for 1 month only.
NOTE: The entry will be cancelled if on entrance, the Iqama is found to be expired
NOTE: The entry will be cancelled if you change your profession after visa has been issued.

Procedure to Get E-Visa for UAE through MOI Website

  1. Login to MOI website of UAE  --Online Visa Application UAE
  2. Apply for the E-Visa form online available in the GCC resident tab
  3. While filling the form:
    • Select one of the five following cities as your entry points:
      • Dubai
      • Abu Dhabi
      • Sharjah
      • Ras-al Khema
      • Fujeirah
    • Select the port of arrival, example Air Port if you are travelling by Air or a valid port if travelling by road
    • Profession is to be selected from the list of professions given. For a child you select CHI and for a Housewife the profession of a Housewife
    • Fill you name in English in the name tab and click on “T” tab to get it translated to Arabic
    • Iqama issuance data as mentioned on the Iqama
    • Apply for a separate UAE visa for every dependent that is travelling with you
  4. Enter all your contact details, for example the hotel you will be staying in and how many dependent you will be travelling with
  5. Scan and upload the following documents
    • Passport size photographs
    • Iqama
    • Passport
  6. Pay the fee online through your credit card. The fee for each passport is AED 230
  7. Submit the application once you have reviewed it

Alternative Method to Get UAE Visa

Another easy way to get the UAE visa is to contact the many travel agents in UAE. For this you will need to know which airport you will be landing. Contact any travel agent and he will take some service fee and get a visa issued. This usually takes between 3-4 working days.

EXIT RE-ENTRY VISA SAUDI ARABIA

EXIT RE-ENTRY VISA SAUDI ARABIA

Updated: Change in Exit Re-Entry Visa Fees

As per a new royal decree, the exit re entry fee has been revised. 200 SAR will be charged for a single exit re entry visa issued for 2 months. Every month in addition will cost expats 100 SAR.
6 month single Exit Re Entry will now cost: 200 SAR for 2 Months + 400 SAR  for 4 Months = 600 SAR for 6 Months.
However, the benefit of this new law is that expats will be able to send families on extended duration, up to one year. A one year single exit entry will end up costing 1,200 SAR under the new law.

Saudi Exit / Re Entry Visa

This is a special kind of visa needed only by expatriates living in Saudi Arabia. Not only do you need a visa to visit other countries but also for leaving and re-entering KSA.

Drawback for Exit / Re Entry visa

  • This visa becomes a drawback in case of an emergency when an expatriate urgently needs to leave the country to attend to some personal business and can’t do so.
  • You always need your sponsor’s consent when leaving the country.
  • The duration of the single Exit Re Entry visa is specified by the sponsor. In other words, it is your sponsor who decides whether you get a visa valid for 1 month or 1 year.

How many types of Exit / Re Entry visa?

There are two types of this kind of visa
  • Single entry Exit Re Entry visa
  • Multiple entry Exit Re Entry Visa

Failure to return to the country before expiry date

The expatriates who fail to abide by the expiry date rule on their Exit Re Entry visa will have to face the consequences. They will be banned from the kingdom for 3 years if they do not return back within the mentioned expiry date on their visas.
“Expats who leave Saudi Arabia on re-entry visas and fail to return before their expiry will be banned from re-entering the Kingdom for 3 years, the Passport Department has clarified.” (June 5th 2015, Arab news)

What if you don’t travel once the visa is issued?

If the visa is issued you have to travel within three months of the visa being issued. Failing to do so will result in a fine of SR1000.

What to do if travelling plan is cancelled after the visa is issued?

If for some reason you cancel the plan of traveling out of the country after the issuance of visa, you need to cancel the visa within 3 months to save yourself from the fine of SR1000 .You won’t be charged for canceling the visa.
